ICE shared Medicaid data it wasn't supposed to have with Palantir

There is news about a government agency called ICE. ICE helps with immigration rules. Medicaid is a program that gives health help to people. ICE got information about people's health from Medicaid. This information is called health data. ICE was not supposed to have this data.

ICE then shared this health data with a company called Palantir. This company uses data. The problem is that ICE used this data to find people. They used it to help in efforts to deport people. To deport means to send someone out of a country.

Some states are upset about this. These states, led by Democrats, say what ICE did is wrong. They went to a federal court. They want the court to stop ICE from using this health data. They want to protect people's private health information. This big news came out during this court case.
