Listen to this article
The United States and Denmark have a new deal about Greenland. Greenland is a very big island near the Arctic. This deal comes after Mr. Trump, a former US President, talked about buying Greenland. Many people did not like that idea.
Now, there is an agreement. Mr. Trump says this agreement gives the US special control. He says the US gets "permanent control over security" in Greenland. This means the US can help keep Greenland safe. He also says the US gets control for "all other needs" in Greenland.
However, officials from Denmark have not yet said "yes" to these exact specifics. They have not confirmed all the details that Mr. Trump talks about. So, the full details of this new deal are not fully clear from Denmark's side yet, but an agreement has been reached.
