People fleeing Sudan civil war face ‘dire and deteriorating’ conditions in refuge city

Many people in Sudan are **fleeing** their homes. They are leaving because there is a civil war. This war is between the Sudanese Armed Forces and another group called the Rapid Support Forces. People are looking for safe places to live.

They often go to a city called El Obeid. Many people also go to **camps** outside the city. Every day, more and more people arrive. These places are very full and **overcrowded**. The living conditions are bad and they are getting worse. People need food, water, and help.

The United Nations says that over 15,000 families have arrived since July. Before that, more than 200,000 people came earlier in the year. Save the Children also talks about this problem. Many people are sad and scared because of the war.
