OpenAI Leans Toward Holding Up I.P.O. Until Next Year

OpenAI is a company that makes smart computer programs called A.I. They want to sell parts of their company to many people. This is called an IPO. But now, they might wait until next year. The company's helpers, called advisers, tell their boss, Sam Altman, to go slowly.

There is a reason for this. Another company, SpaceX, had problems with its company parts, called stock. The price of SpaceX's stock went up and down a lot. This means it was not stable. OpenAI's advisers do not want this to happen to OpenAI.

Also, OpenAI has its own money problems. They need to fix these problems first. So, waiting until next year gives them time to be ready. They want to make sure everything is good before they sell parts of their company to the public.
